Director of Revenue Management - Confidential
YOUR FUTURE BEGINS HERE
Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical Director of Revenue Management to lead revenue performance for our premier resort property in Panama City Beach. This role is responsible for developing and executing both short and long-term revenue strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, total revenue, and market share.
The Director will lead pricing, forecasting, distribution strategy, and performance analytics across all channels—including Direct, Brand, OTA, and wholesale/reseller partners—ensuring rate integrity and optimized business mix.
This is a growth-oriented leadership role. Upon successful performance at the Panama City Beach property, the position will expand to include revenue leadership for a second, larger resort in Orange Beach, Alabama, scheduled to open in Spring 2027. The Director will help build the revenue strategy and systems for the new opening and transition into a multi-property revenue leadership role.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy & Performance Leadership
Develop and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual revenue strategies to maximize RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and total revenue.
Analyze booking pace, unconstrained demand, channel trends, and market conditions to inform pricing and inventory decisions.
Lead weekly revenue strategy meetings and create clear, actionable plans for cross-functional execution.
Deliver insights beyond metrics—identifying drivers, risks, and performance opportunities.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Reporting
Produce accurate short and long-term forecasts (occupancy, ADR, revenue, channel mix), including scenario planning for market changes.
Partner with Finance and Operations on annual budgets, reforecasts, and strategic planning initiatives.
Prepare concise and impactful revenue reporting for monthly and quarterly Owner meetings.
Pricing Strategy & Demand Optimization
Establish and maintain a defined rate architecture by season, day of week, property type, length of stay, and demand patterns.
Implement and manage demand “triggers” (rate changes, restrictions, LOS controls, promotions, discount strategies).
Maintain pricing agility to capture last-minute demand while protecting ADR and rate integrity.
Monitor and interpret competitive pricing behavior and positioning to maintain market share and rate integrity.
Distribution & Channel Management
Optimize channel mix across Direct, Brand channels, OTAs, and reseller/third-party partners, aligned to bottom-line goals.
Identify gaps and opportunities in third-party distribution and implement action plans to improve conversion and revenue contribution.
Ensure rate parity, content accuracy, and inventory controls across all platforms.
Partner with Marketing and Sales to align offers, promotions, and packaging to demand patterns and strategic goals.
Systems & Platform Management
Learn and effectively manage all revenue-related systems currently in use, including SynXis, Infor, JetStream, NextPax, and other integrated platforms.
Administer rate plans and restrictions; conduct audits to ensure accurate pricing and mapping.
Troubleshoot and resolve distribution issues, rate loading errors, and system conflicts.
Market Intelligence & Demand Drivers
Track macro and micro market indicators influencing demand in the local marketplace.
Evaluate the impact of local events, seasonality patterns, holidays, and regional travel trends to proactively forecast and price.
Multi-Property Expansion – Orange Beach (Spring 2027)
As the Orange Beach resort opening approaches, the Director will:
Lead opening revenue strategy including rate build, market positioning, channel setup, and demand calendar development.
Support system configuration, segmentation strategy, reporting standards, and pricing frameworks for launch.
Transition into a multi-property revenue leadership role overseeing both Panama City Beach and Orange Beach assets.
